About

Years ago, I bought a Barge out of New Bern, NC and instead of paying to have it trucked I decided I was going to Huck Finn it down the ICW. So glad I did, it is honestly one of my fondest memories.  We stopped in several locations and hung out on the barge with loads of cool people, grilling on the little Weber Grill we had on board.  Fast forward to 2020 when everything was being cancelled, I made another dream come true and hosted a floating concert in the middle of Charleston Harbor.  Parked a 120ft barge of off Castle Pinckney, had Lauren Hall, Brady Smith, and Colt Ford play.

The two problems were I couldn’t live stream it and I couldn’t serve food to the people in attendance (well honestly there were more than two but those are the ones I am trying to figure out at the moment).

So after the concert, I went to Miami and worked on a food boat out of Haulover before buying the boat that used to hang out at the Limehouse sandbar.  That was a little 8×6 kitchen on top of a tritoon. A few weekends of using it, I realized what a terrible set up it was and went back to the drawing board.  I took the kitchen off the pontoons and put it on a barge.  In doing so it no longer fits inside the State’s box as to what a food truck/trailer needs to be and I can no longer get a license to serve the public.

Now in 2023, I am using it for content creation cooking with different chefs on board.  And this is where our journey together begins.
