The Food Boat welcomes the team behind Daddy’s Breakfast + Espresso
Breakfast is the heart and soul of the team at Daddy’s, Charleston’s mobile breakfast and coffee joint. Between their eclectic colors, killer food, and spunky energy, this food truck brings a bunch more than your average eggs and toast.
Owners Brian and Christina along with Daddy’s chef, Mary, come along on The Food Boat to share their simple and delicious sandwiches that’ll have your mouth watering. The crew starts with a classic– a pork roll sandwich served on either brioche or sourdough bread topped with fried eggs and cheese.
Christina best describes pork roll as a Jersery staple that resembles a mix between bacon and sausage. But if you try to claim that pork roll is the same thing as bologna, this crew is happy to say otherwise. Listen to more on the debate here.
Each breakfast sandwich comes with egg, cheese, and your choice of meat. Try all the possible options like a bagel with sausage and perfect sunny-side up eggs, or brioche toast with scrambled eggs and bacon.
You can also opt for Christina and Mary’s choice– a hearty slice of Avocado toast topped with olive oil, salt, pepper, and an egg upon request.
